Kurma to Kalki

The Second Divine Avatar of Vishnu, Kurma, descended in the Satyuga (Age of Truth) to help the Gods obtain the Amrit (nectar) of Immortality, and win a raging war against the Asuras (demons). Lord Vishnu assumed the form of a tortoise, and took the newly created earth on his back in order to render stability to a war-ravaged and trembling globe.

The Tenth and the Last Divine Avatar of Vishnu, Kalki, appears during the “late-time”, at the end of Kalyuga (Age of Destruction), the dark age during which the Divine is ignored by all.  It is this time now.

The Last Avatar is symbolized on a white horse with a drawn sword, and “blazing like a comet”.  He enters the world fiercely as the Liberator, as Enlightenment Itself.

He is here to bring the Ultimate Wisdom to all, to destroy the illusion of separateness, to restart a new cooperative culture, and to restore laughter, love and peace in people’s lives.
